Our Quality Ingredients Include:

Electrolyte-Rich Sodium

Essential for nerve and muscle function and key for regulating your dog's fluid balance, helping to prevent dehydration.

Hydrating Potassium

Supports muscle function and cardiovascular health, and helps maintain the body's electrolyte balance during physical activity.

Energising Dextrose

A quick source of energy, which helps your dog recover faster during and after exercise by aiding in the absorption of fluids and electrolytes.

How much Fresh-K9 Max Strength should I give my dog?

Mix + Shake + Pour + Serve

All dogs, shapes and sizes

To make this super tasty chicken-flavoured drink, two tablespoons of Fresh-K9 should be mixed in 100-200 ml of water.

During periods of exercise or high activity, Fresh-K9 can be given several times a day in small amounts to sustain the energy level of your dog.

Where there is no need for extra energy, you can mix a smaller amount of powder into water “to taste” and help make water more appealing on hot days – even for the fussiest of dogs who turn down plain water.

FAQs

Just like humans, dogs need to stay hydrated to perform their best. When dogs exercise or are exposed to warm weather and hot temperatures, they lose essential fluids, leading to dehydration. This can result in fatigue, overheating, and longer recovery times.

By replenishing lost fluids and electrolytes, we can help support our dogs and ensure our trusted companions stay fully hydrated, active, and healthy, whether they’re competing at dog sports, running in the park, or cooling down after training on a warm day.

Fresh-K9 Max Strength is packed with natural ingredients perfectly aligned to the daily electrolyte requirements of a dog and is formulated to help rehydrate your dog quickly and effectively.

Using Fresh-K9 ensures your dog stays hydrated and active, while also supporting faster recovery, so they can keep enjoying their favourite activities without missing a beat!

Yes! During the period of exercise, Fresh-K9 can be given several times a day in small amounts to sustain the energy level of your dog. Where there is no need for extra energy, you can mix a smaller amount of powder into water (to ‘taste’!) to make the water more appealing.

We’ve produced Fresh-K9 as a powder supplement so you can easily transport it dry and mix with water wherever you go, or mix it in advance. It can even be frozen for a cooling and hydrating treat.

It is recommended to start Fresh-K9 1-2 days before intense exercise or competition – or when needed for extra hydration.

Fresh-K9 can be given several times in small amounts to sustain the energy levels of your dog. Where there is no need for extra energy and you are simply supporting your dog’s hydration, you can mix a smaller amount of powder in water “to taste” and watch your dog actively choose to stay hydrated!

Electrolyte Loss in Dogs

Yes, when dogs become dehydrated, they lose electrolytes such as sodium, chloride, and potassium. These electrolytes are critical for several physiological functions, including:

  • Muscle action
  • Nerve function

Key Findings:

Studies show that electrolytes are primarily lost in saliva during exercise. The duration and intensity of aerobic exercise may influence changes in salivary electrolyte concentration. This suggests that replenishing electrolytes can help prevent dogs from experiencing electrolyte imbalances, particularly in cases of extended or repetitive aerobic exercise [1].

Heat tolerance in dogs is influenced by their hydration state. Under controlled activity in moderate heat and humidity, dogs accustomed to work and the environment were more likely to increase fluid consumption when offered a flavored oral electrolyte supplement [2,3].
