HOW TO USE:

• Simply measure and mix the BUG-K9 powder with your dog’s wet or dry food once a day!

BUG-K9 Anti-Parasite Balm

• Apply BUG-K9 Anti-Parasite Balm gently to areas of your pet’s body and coat that are susceptible to bug bites. * Always do a patch test prior to use and avoid eye area.
• Can be gently rolled on which means the materials always reach the skin.
• It’s safe for your dog to lick areas where the Balm has been applied, but if the product is accidentally ingested, contact your veterinary surgeon immediately.
• Can be used alongside BUG-K9 for further parasite protection.

Tick Twisters

• Choose the most suitable size of hook for the size of the tick.
• Engage the hook by sliding it underneath the tick's body, close to your dog's skin until it is held securely (parting the fur to avoid tugging).\
• Lift gently and twist in ONE direction to detach the tick. Don't pull - this risks leaving the tick's feeding tube beneath the skin.
• The tick should detach after two or three rotations.
• Disinfect the bite site and wash hands with soap and water.

BUG-K9 

Our unique blend of ingredients contain the following superfoods that have been proven to combat fleas and worms. It smells amazing and dogs love the taste.

• PUMPKIN SEEDS- In a study undertaken looking at the usefulness of pumpkin seeds on tapeworm it found that Pumpkin seeds had a 75% success rate in elimination and prevention of tapeworm.
• BLACK CUMIN SEEDS- Used for centuries as a traditional remedy against all stages of intestinal parasites. Studies have shown that it seems to reduce the ability of the parasite to lay eggs and attach itself to the intestinal wall whilst damaging the adult worm, leaving it more susceptible to the dogs immune system.
• FENNEL- Perennial herb, Fennel is rich in potassium, zinc and vitamin C. Fennel is also an excellent source of the essential oils anethole, limonene, anisic aldehyde, pinene, myrcene, fenchone and cineole. Anethole in particular has been found to have powerful antimicrobial properties but is also thought to be effective against worms and parasites due to the volatile oil. Anethole also gives fennel its characteristic anise flavour.
• GINGER - In animal research, both ginger powder and ginger extract had anthelmintic effects, meaning reductions of up to 66.6% in parasitic eggs per gram (EPG) of faeces on day 10 of post- treatment in sheep. 
• CINNAMON- Studies have shown that Cinnamon works in conjunction with Ginger to reduce infection of Giardia. 

• PLUSa whole host of other natural superfoods, including Peppermint, Selenium, Vitamin A and Zinc. All of which have been clinically proven to contain beneficial properties in the treatment and prevention of parasitic infections.

BUG-K9 Anti-Parasite Balm

• NEEM- Neem contains a range of active compounds including azadirachtin, nimbin, nimbidin and limonoids that seem to have insecticidal properties that can help deter mosquitoes, ticks, flies and other insects.

• LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL- Lavender is a fragrant herb that provides a safe and effective way to deter insects as its scent has insect-repellent properties. It is thought its strong sweet smell may confuse or disrupt biting insects' senses, making it hard for them to locate a host, find mates and reproduce

• LEMONGRASS- Lemongrass is another natural plant that has been used as an effective insect repellent due to its high levels of citronellol and citronellal.

• LEMON BALM EXTRACT- Lemon balm has long been used a natural insect repellent as it contains high levels of citronellol and citronellal. These compounds are the lemon-scented components that can be found in citronella oil which comes from the citronella plant which is a widely used insect repellent.

• SAGE ESSENTIAL Oil - Due to its distinctive smell and taste, sage has been known for its culinary uses but the same characteristics make it an effective bug repellent. Its oils contain compounds that deter a variety of bugs and can help mask the smell of the animal's skin.

• PEPPERMINT- Peppermint is a popular natural insect repellent. It has a strong aroma that many insects including mosquitoes, ants, flies, and spiders find unpleasant

• NETTLE LEAF EXTRACT- Whilst Nettle does not have a strong aroma it is thought that the chemicals in the oil of the Nettle plant may act as a natural deterrent

• ROSEMARY- Rosemary has been used for many years as a natural insect repellent with many insects being particularly put off by the strong aroma.

ADVICE

For external use on animals only. Store balm between 4 degrees and 20 degrees C.Keep out of reach of children and other animals. Licking is fine, but it should not be eaten entirely. If accidently ingested, contact your veterinary surgeon immediately. Please do a patch test prior to use and avoid the eye area.
